Pink Pony Chub was born from a lifetime of being told - directly and indirectly - that certain bodies weren’t meant to be seen, celebrated, or dressed loudly.
Hi, I’m Jake: owner, creative director, and the chaotic brain behind Pink Pony Chub.
For most of my life, I struggled with self-image. I wanted clothes that felt fun, bold, sexy, and unapologetic - and every time I went looking, the options were the same:
either nothing in my size, or something that was ugly, joyless, and wildly overpriced. I got tired of being grateful for scraps. I wanted statements. I wanted attitude. I wanted clothes that said I’m here.
So I started making them myself.
Pink Pony Chub is a love letter to bigger bodies, louder voices, and people who refuse to shrink - physically, emotionally, or culturally. It’s inspired by my deep love for New Orleans, where self-expression is sacred, joy is communal, and nobody asks you to tone it down. Add in my obsession with pop culture, travel, storytelling, and my dog (who is absolutely the real boss), and you get a brand that lives somewhere between camp, comfort, and confrontation.
At its core, Pink Pony Chub is about inclusion - and not just in size.
